The All Ceylon Buddhist Congress, in collaboration with a team of specialist doctors from the Sri Jayewardenepura General Hospital, has organized a medical camp for the villages of Kumbaloluwa and Niyangandora in the Kotmale Divisional Secretariat Division. This medical camp will be conducted by the specialist medical team of the Sri Jayewardenepura General Hospital on Sunday, 7th December 2025 at 9.30 a.m. in Kotmale. With the assistance of the staff of the Sri Jayewardenepura General Hospital, arrangements have also been made to provide lunch for 500 residents of these villages.
In parallel, a programme has been organized to distribute dry ration packs to 350 displaced families currently residing in the villages of Kumbaloluwa and Niyangandora.
Furthermore, a special programme will be held for the children displaced after losing their homes, providing gifts and engaging activities aimed at uplifting their spirits and offering emotional comfort and encouragement.
All these activities were organized jointly by the All Ceylon Buddhist Congress and the Sri Jayewardenepura General Hospital, with the full support and cooperation of the Kotmale Divisional Secretary, the Poodaluoya Police Station, and the Grama Niladhari officers of the respective areas.
