In accordance with the guidance and blessings of the Most Venerable Dr. Shastrapathi Panditha Deltota Dhammajothi Nayaka Thero, Chief Judicial Sanghanayaka of the Kalutara Great District of the Asgiri Chapter, Chief Incumbent of Sandagiri Ashtaphala Bodhi Rajamaha Viharaya, Agrabodhi Viharaya at Ratemulla, Kandy, Edanda Purana Rajamaha Viharaya at Pillawala, Kandy, Bhadrawathi National Bhikkhu Rehabilitation and Care Centre at Galaha, Chief Incumbent of Sri Wardhanaramaya, Renukanana, Bandaragama, Karmacharya, and retired lecturer of the Sri Sangharaja Pirivena of the Malwathu Maha Viharaya, continuous worship of the Sacred Buddha Relics (Sri Sarvajna Dhatu) was conducted for three consecutive days with morning, noon, and evening Sambudu Thevawa (offerings and devotional ceremonies).
During the Vesak Festival, the Sacred Relics were enshrined in a specially constructed Relic Chamber (Dhatu Mandiraya), where thousands of devotees from all parts of the island paid homage with deep faith and devotion.

The Buddhaloka Vesak Festival, organized annually by the All Ceylon Buddhist Congress in collaboration with the Presidential Secretariat, concluded successfully on 1 June at the premises of the All Ceylon Buddhist Congress.
The closing ceremony was held under the leadership of Mr. Chandra Nimal Wakishta, President of the All Ceylon Buddhist Congress, and was graced by the presence of Mr. Prabath Chandra Keerthi, Chief of Staff to the President, as the Chief Guest. The event was attended by representatives of the Sri Lanka Tri-Forces, the Sri Lanka Police, the Civil Security Department, distinguished invitees, and a large gathering of devotees.
A colourful cultural concert featuring renowned Sri Lankan vocal artists, together with performances by the Sri Lanka Army Cultural and Military Band, added grandeur and elegance to the occasion.
During the ceremony, Appreciation Awards were presented to the institutions and organizations that generously sponsored and supported the Vesak Festival. In addition, prizes were awarded to the winners of the Vesak Lantern Competition in recognition of their outstanding creativity and dedication.
